Private one-to-one conversations with Luke

When you can't quite see your way through something.

Sometimes you don't need another opinion, another answer or somebody telling you what you should do. You need enough space to look at what's actually going on.

Lighthouse is a private one-to-one conversation with Luke for exactly that.

Start where you are

What's brought you here?

You don't need the perfect explanation.

Any of those is enough to begin.

I know what I'm doing isn't helping me. I keep doing it anyway.

Everyone has an opinion. I don't know what I think anymore.

I've got my shit together on paper. It doesn't feel that way.

I need to change something. I don't know where to start.

I just need somebody outside my life to talk to.

Or maybe nothing fits neatly enough to put into a sentence yet.

Perspective

Sometimes one different question changes what you can see.

Lighthouse isn't about handing you a prefabricated answer. Sometimes the useful thing is looking at the same situation from somewhere else.

I just need more discipline.

I always choose the wrong people.

I've fucked my life up.

No clean story required

You don't need a clean story to talk here.

The mistake.

The relapse.

The thing you did.

The thing somebody did to you.

The thought that sounds terrible when you say it aloud.

The relationship nobody understands.

The habit you keep hiding.

The part of the story that doesn't make you look good.

You can bring the messy version. Listening without immediately judging you doesn't mean agreeing with everything you've done. It means understanding a person is more useful than reducing them to one decision, one period of their life, or the worst thing they've ever done.

Lighthouse is open to people from all walks of life — including people with criminal convictions, people who have been to prison, people struggling with addiction, and people carrying things they're ashamed of.

If you genuinely want to understand yourself, change something, rebuild something or work out where you go from here, you're welcome here.

Whoever you are

Come as you are.

You don't have to be at rock bottom to come here.

You might be rebuilding your life. You might be running a company. You might be changing careers, questioning a relationship, fighting an old pattern, sitting on an idea, facing a decision, or simply realising that the life you've built doesn't quite feel like yours.

I don't care how impressive your life looks from the outside.

And I don't care how unimpressive you think it looks.

The important part isn't where you are. It's whether you're willing to look honestly at where you are and take part in what happens next.

And for men who don't normally talk about this stuff:

You don't need to perform vulnerability here.

You don't need the perfect language for what you're feeling.

You can just speak.

Tell me what happened. What you're angry about. What you're ashamed of. What keeps happening. What you're worried about. What you actually want.

We can start there.

Women are equally welcome here.

Your life doesn't need to resemble mine for me to take your experience seriously.

You don't need to make your story easier for me to understand or worry that I'll automatically see it through a man's perspective.

My job is to understand your situation before forming an opinion about it.

Come as you are. But come willing.

Your life remains yours

I don't need you to see things my way.

I don't have a version of you that I'm trying to create.

I'm not here to push you towards my beliefs, my lifestyle or my idea of what a good life should look like.

I'll listen. I'll question things. I'll challenge you when I think something doesn't add up. I'll offer another angle when I can see one.

But your life remains yours.

I'm not neutral because I don't care. I won't automatically agree with you, and I won't pretend to know something I don't. What I won't do is decide who you are before I've understood you.

What we can talk about

Can I bring this here?

Probably. Here are some of the things we can talk about.

Sometimes the useful conversation is deeply personal.
Sometimes it's extremely practical.
Usually life contains a bit of both.

Something not listed?

You don't need your situation to fit one of my categories before we talk.

ASK ME / TALK TO LUKE
Luke Streamer, the founder of Lighthouse

The human behind Lighthouse

For a long time, I knew how to survive far better than I knew how to understand myself.

I've had periods of my life I thought were rock bottom, only to discover I wasn't there yet.

I've lived through trauma, family breakdown, destructive relationships, addiction and destructive habits, anger, shame, and periods where survival shaped far more of me than I understood at the time.

For years, I thought some of the ways I was changing meant I was growing. Sometimes I was. Sometimes I'd simply found more productive ways to run from the same things.

Eventually I stopped only asking how I could change my life and started asking why I was living it the way I was.

I spent a long period turning inward — questioning what I believed, how I'd learned to see myself, what I kept repeating, what I was avoiding, and what was actually mine beneath everything I'd accumulated.

I didn't find a magic answer. I found better questions, tools I hadn't been shown, and a much more honest relationship with myself.

That's a large part of why Lighthouse exists.

My experience isn't only personal.

I've worked across recruitment, sales, marketing and business, and I've spent years building ideas of my own.

I've helped people find the confidence to change jobs, thought from the hiring side of the table, and learned a lot about what makes people, work and businesses move.

So Lighthouse doesn't have to be a conversation about your past.

Sometimes what you need is somebody to help you think properly about what comes next.

What I am good at is listening properly, looking at something from several angles, noticing connections, questioning assumptions and asking questions that might not have been asked yet.

“I won't pretend I've lived your life. But there's very little you could tell me that would make me stop seeing the human being sitting in front of me.”

The conversation

What happens when we talk?

You can talk to me about what's actually going on.

  1. 01You talk.
  2. 02I listen.
  3. 03We slow the situation down.
  4. 04We look at what keeps appearing.
  5. 05I question things — including your interpretation of them.
  6. 06We look from another angle.
  7. 07We work out what might actually be useful from here.

Sometimes the useful outcome is an answer.

Sometimes it's a better question.

Sometimes it's finally saying something out loud.

Sometimes it's recognising a pattern you've been standing inside for years.

Your part matters too

I can meet you where you are. I can't want it for you.

You don't need to have your life together before we talk.

You can be stuck. You can have relapsed. You can have made a mess of something. You can have no idea what the next move is.

But Lighthouse is for people who want to help themselves.

I'm not interested in forcing positivity onto you, and I'm not going to dismiss what has happened to you. Sometimes people genuinely have been treated badly. Sometimes circumstances genuinely are unfair.

Understanding why you're where you are is different from deciding you have to stay there.

I'll listen. I'll question things. I'll challenge you when I think something doesn't add up. I'll help you look for patterns, tools, options and practical next moves.

I won't build a story in which you're powerless just because that story feels easier in the moment.

You remain responsible for what you do next.

Safe enough to be honest. Honest enough to be useful.

Between conversations

Sometimes life doesn't wait for the appointment.

If we've already been working together and something important comes up, you can reach out.

I'll reply when I'm reasonably able, but I can't promise an immediate response. This is not 24/7 or unlimited messaging support, and it is not emergency or crisis coverage.

Where I can reasonably help, I will. Where somebody else would be better placed to help, I'll be honest about that too.

Contact between conversations does not create an additional paid service or continuing entitlement unless we separately agree one.

Clear scope

What Lighthouse is — and isn't.

Lighthouse offers non-clinical one-to-one conversations for clarity, reflection and direction.

Luke is not a therapist, psychologist or medical professional, and Lighthouse doesn't diagnose or treat mental-health conditions.

If something comes up that would be better supported by an appropriate medical, psychological, psychiatric, safeguarding, addiction or other regulated professional service, I'll say so openly.

Lighthouse is not an emergency or crisis service.

Lighthouse is currently for adults aged 18 and over.

We may support younger people in the future, but not until the safeguarding, boundaries and structure around that work have been properly designed.

Lighthouse may not be right for every situation. I may decline or end work where it isn't appropriate, where another kind of expertise or support is needed, or where respectful boundaries cannot be maintained.

Respect runs both ways. Abusive, threatening, sexually inappropriate or serious boundary-violating behaviour isn't accepted.
